About the Course

UNIT 1 - Basics of DevOps

Acquire essential skills and concepts: Networking, Linux, Cloud, Application Development.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After finishing Unit 1, students should grasp and be proficient in:

  • Networking: Key concepts such as switches, routers, IP, CIDR, subnets, OSI, DNS, firewalls.
  • Linux: Various features including Linux OS, command line, filesystem, security, package management, system, processes, virtualization, bash scripting.
  • Cloud: Components like Identity management, storage, compute, networking, monitoring, security.

Essential Abilities Operate Linux networking tools, construct and manage Linux VMs, SSH into Linux servers, manage AWS/Azure cloud servers and storage, run Python, Java, NodeJS web apps, operate Nginx, handle databases, YAML, JSON.

UNIT 2 - Advanced DevOps Techniques

Students delve into and grapple with intricate DevOps technologies, starting with Docker containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code with HashiCorp's Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible, and culminating in the CI/CD stack with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
